How To Add Location To BeReal Posts

Adding location to your BeReal posts is as easy as ABC.

First, you need to ensure that you have given location permission for the BeReal app. Just navigate to your device's settings and enable location services for BeReal, if you haven't already.

Then, just before posting your BeReal, tap on the location icon (a white arrow) on the right and make sure you have selected your location from the menu. If you are on Beta, you will have the option to share either your approximate or precise location.

If you want to make your BeReal public, just tap on the friends' icon on the left before posting and select Discovery. Your post will be visible to all BeReal users.

How To Turn Off Location On BeReal

If you don't wish to share your location on BeReal, you can choose to turn it off. You can still post and view BeReal posts with your location settings turned off. There are actually two ways to turn off location on BeReal.

One, go to your device's settings and disable location services for BeReal. Two, before posting your BeReal, tap on the location icon (a white arrow) on the right and select Location off. And that's it!

Does BeReal Show Your Location?
