- Check for any server issues by following the official MultiVersus Twitter page. If there are any outages, then you'll need to wait until those are resolved before trying again.
- For anyone who uses a VPN, disabling it and connecting to a local server can remedy the issue, especially if your VPN is connecting to a server in a country that doesn't offer support for the game.
- It may seem obvious, but make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements for the game. If your system can't cope, then no amount of troubleshooting will help.

Run Multiversus as an Administrator

- Open Steam and navigate to your Library.
- Right-click on the MultiVersus file and select Properties.

- Tick the box that says Run this program as an administrator.

Disable Steam Overlay
Disabling your steam overlay has been known to fix errors in other games, and some players have found it to be effective for MultiVersus as well. To do this:
- Open the Steam client and click on Steam on the top-left side.
- Tap on Settings and click on In-Game.

UE4 however, refers to Unreal Engine 4, which is the system used to build MultiVersus. So there is a strong likelihood that this is linked to Unreal Engine. But why, or what the specific trigger is, remains uncertain.
