How to connect two controllers to PS4 console
First of all, it's worth noting that there are two ways to connect your PlayStation 4 controller:
- Via USB
- Via Bluetooth
Connect via USB
Follow these steps to connect your PS4 controller to the console via USB:
- Turn on the console using the button located on it.
- Connect a USB cable to one of the ports on the PS4.
- Connect the micro USB end of the cable to the top port on your controller.
- Press the PlayStation button in the center of the controller until the lightbar turns blue.
- If the controller doesn't connect, try using a different USB-A to micro USB cable.
- Finally, select your desired profile from the options available on the screen.
Connect via Bluetooth
Turn on pairing mode to pair your wireless controller with a supported device using Bluetooth for the first time.
- Make sure the player indicator on the controller is turned off.
- If the player indicator is on, press and hold the PS button until it turns off. Also, disconnect any USB connected to the controller.
- Press and hold the PS button until the light bar starts flashing while holding the SHARE button.
- Turn on Bluetooth and select the controller from the list of available Bluetooth devices on the device you want to pair with.
- When the pairing process is complete, the light bar on the controller will blink, and the player indicator will light up.
