The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the rumoured next in line after the impressive Galaxy Z Fold 3, and as expected the rumour mill is at full speed.
Folding phones are some of the most eye-catching devices on the market right now, and it's no surprise that Samsung's offerings have been a big draw for many looking for the best of the best.
With new foldable phones on the way, such as the Oppo Find N Foldable and recent Vivo X Fold, each new release is worth paying attention to.
But are there any clues that can let us know what we're in for? Let's take a look at everything we know so far about the expected Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Release Date Predictions
At the moment, we can only predict when the phone will arrive, but if we look at previous patterns we may land on something fairly accurate...
The Samsung Galaxy Z 3 was released on August 27th, and was announced at the Galaxy Unpacked Event on August 11th.

With the big players in the smartphone market typically releasing new versions every year (asides from with Motorola it would appear...), we'd say that we'll likely see the Galaxy Z Fold 4 around the same time.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Price
As with the release date, we'll have to look to the past for an indication of what we could expect in terms of a price tag for the Z Fold 4.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes in at around £1500/ $1700 typically, and yes, we know it's super expensive.

Fold phones are essentially phones and tablets combined and feature one of the newest technologies around in the smartphone space, so it's understandable that the price may be on the higher side, but as the technology starts to become 'old' we may see a drop.
Whether that's the case with the Z Fold 4 remains to be seen, but we wouldn't count on it.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Specs & Features
There are few leaks to go on surrounding what to expect for the phone, so let's take a closer look.
One leak via theelec suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will come 'with a similar screen size as its predecessor', which could come in at 6.56-inches for the main screen, and 6.19-inches for cover screen.
There's very little difference here between the Fold 3, so we're expecting a very familiar iteration of the phone this time around. We'll leave the grand re-designs to the iPhone 14 and MacBook Air instead!
The same article also suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is said to be featuring the S-Pen, which was left out of the previous iteration.
According to the article, this will be the main 'selling point' of the phone, and based on the general rumblings following its omittance in the Z Fold 3, we think it'll certainly do the job.
A leak posted on Korean blogging site Naver reportedly suggested that this time around there may two under-display cameras, which would mean one on the main screen and one on the cover screen.
Now the under display camera of the Z Fold 3 got a lot of attention...and not in a good way. Along with the lack of S-Pen, the camera was said to be lacklustre and not too sharp.
It's novel idea, but we wonder if this will go ahead, and if it does, what kind of improvements will we see?
According to leaker @dohyun854 we may be getting a new version, which has been improved...so much so that it may even make its way to the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.
As for the non-under display cameras, there are rumours that we could expect a 50MP main, with a 12MP telephoto and ultra-wide.
We're still waiting for our first look at the phone itself, but as usual there have been some concepts that could give us an idea of what to expect.
The images comes from a rather impressive fan-made launch trailer for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, and shows a few different colour variations alongside the inclusion of the S-Pen.

We're not expecting a huge re-design asides from the inclusion of the S-Pen, so these renders could be at least close to what we may get this year.
We'll keep you posted with everything else we know as soon as we hear more!
