The new Vivo X Fold has finally been unveiled and it marks yet another entry into the increasingly popular foldable market.
Vivo may not draw quite as much attention as the likes of the next Motorola Razr or the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, but from what we've seen it's up there with the best of them.
Here's everything we know so far about the Vivo X Fold, plus, whether it's going to be heading West or not.
Vivo X Fold Release Date
The Vivo X Fold was announced at the launch event on April 11th, and it looks like it will be exclusive to China to start with.
The Vivo X Note, Fold and Pad are slated for release on April 22nd.
As for a global release date, at this stage we'll have to sit tight. Vivo do release into the West, which is promising though.
Vivo X Fold Price
The Vivo X Fold will retail at the following:
- 12GB/ 256GB - CNY 8999 ($1400)
- 12GB/ 512GB - CNY 9999 ($1550)
To give some perspective, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is priced around £1500, and we think the Vivo X Fold may head in at just under this price - potentially £1200.
Foldable phones are expensive, there's no doubt, and we think it's going to be a long time until we see them drop in price to the realms of the best mid-range phones.

Vivo X Fold Design
We get a better look at the design of the Vivo X Fold thanks to an official trailer from the brand itself. Take a look to see for yourself.
We think it looks pretty good, if not slightly 'professional-looking'. What do we mean? Well, if this were sat next to an old school leather briefcase we think it wouldn't too out of place. Maybe it's the texture, which sort of reminds us of a wallet - a far cry from some of the more sleek and shiny surfaces we've seen of late.
The phone comes in Black, Blue, and Grey, and we still think it's a great looking device and a worthy alternative to some of the bigger players in the industry.
