Do you remember a time before mobile phones? When movie sets weren’t leaked on a weekly basis? Neither do we. The latest movie to have its set appear online is The Flash.

The upcoming DC movie The Flash will feature a returning Michael Keaton, reprising the role of Batman. In the film, Bruce will act as a mentor figure to Barry Allen.

Little is known about Keaton’s involvement in the film, or how heavily he will feature. However, this will be the first time Keaton has starred as Batman since his role in Tim Burton’s 1989 hit, Batman.

Keaton’s role was only announced a few weeks ago, after a special effects company teased the appearance of the Batmobile

Wayne Manor

Images leaked on Twitter at the end of April show Burghley House with Warner Bros. vans parked outside.

Burghley House was built in the sixteenth-century and has featured in TV shows and films; including The Crown, Top Gear, The Da Vinci Code and Antiques Roadshow.

Additional images published by Peterborough Telegraph show the mansion surrounded by smoke.

COVID-19 Restrictions

Keaton was initially hesitant about taking the role because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Speaking with Deadline earlier this year, Keaton said: “To be honest with you, you know what worries me more than anything about all this stuff? It’s COVID.”

“So, that’s my first thing about all projects. I look at it and go, is this thing going to kill me, literally? And you know, if it doesn’t, then we talk,” added Keaton.

The Flash

The Flash movie has been in production since 2004, but it was recently reworked to fit in with the DC Extended Universe.

Barry Allen AKA The Flash travels back in time to prevent his mother from being murdered. This of course ends up going awry, because when doesn’t time travel?

Ben Affleck will also star in the movie as his rendition of the Batman. Warner Bros. has not confirmed how the two characters will interact with The Flash, or if we'll see Keaton and Affleck on screen at the same time.
