It's not too often, if ever, that you hear Valorant and God of War in the same sentence. The competitive FPS game doesn't exactly gel well with the single-player PlayStation exclusive series, but when you see the upcoming melee from the Primordium bundle, you'll definitely get some familiar vibes to one of Kratos' most iconic weapons.

While the new Valorant Agent has been delayed, the Primordium skin bundle will rotate into the shop alongside the release of Episode 8 Act 2, dropping a fiery bundle that would likely appease Hades, but the similarities to Kratos' Blades of Chaos is uncanny.

The Blades of Primordia have been showcased by Valorant Updates on Twitter, giving users a look at the melee which arrives with the Primordium bundle. The skeletal and rigid design bears flames as you slash and dash with the blades, with the two sharing a lot of familiarity with the blades chained to Kratos for all eternity.

Of course, they're not a 1:1 recreation of the Blades of Chaos, as we imagine that Riot Games would prefer not to be on the end of a lawsuit from Santa Monica and PlayStation. But any God of War fan who also dives into Valorant from time to time will certainly be tempted to open their wallets for the pricey bundle.

Unfortunately, Valorant isn't on PS5 just yet. That means that this will be the closest resemblance of a God of War crossover for now, unless the game arrives on PlayStation and the two companies work together. But the bundle seems to be worth purchasing for plenty of reasons, especially the finisher, which is easily one of the best in the game so far.

Unfortunately, the Blades of Primordia cost 4,350 VP, meaning you'll have to fork over $55 / £40 to purchase them from the store. However, the God of War fan in me is almost forcing me to pick them up when they release, and return to the competitive FPS in the next few days.
