Valorant PlayStation - Is Valorant coming to PlayStation consoles?

If you are looking forward to playing Valorant on PlayStation consoles, we might have some good news for you.

Valorant is a 5v5 character-based tactical shooter that looks a bit like Counter-Strike, but with a bit of Overwatch thrown in. The game was a huge success on PC, so it stands to reason that there is a chance that Valorant could be coming to consoles.

In fact, various leaks and rumours suggest that Valorant is coming to PlayStation consoles. Let's take a look at what these leaks say!

Is Valorant coming to PlayStation consoles?

Well, it looks like Valorant PS5 and PS4 versions are in the works.

Riot Games has recently posted multiple job listings for Valorant that have to do with bringing the game to consoles. One is listed as a Game Design Manager for consoles while the other is listed as Senior Game Designer for consoles.

The job description for Game Design Manager reads:

You will be responsible for upholding design principles that define VALORANT on PC while transforming it into the definitive tactical shooter for Consoles.

Based on these job postings, we can infer that Valorant will be coming to PlayStation consoles. It is only a matter of time.

Valorant PlayStation release date

Now that we know for sure that Valorant is coming to PlayStation consoles, the only question left is when will Valorant be released on PlayStation consoles.

Since Riot Games hasn't announced anything official about a console release, we can only guess when it will be released on PlayStation consoles. Given that they have only started hiring staff to port the game, it is unlikely that Valorant will be released anytime soon.

Typically, to port a AAA title like Valorant, it would take a year and more. So based on that estimate, we can expect Valorant to be released by the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024. That said, these are just speculations and the game could be released much earlier than that.
