After a long few months of waiting. Larian Studios’ award-winning RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 is now out on Xbox Series consoles.

While Baldur’s Gate 3 released out of early access on PC months ago, quickly followed by a PS5 port, Larian’s RPG missed Xbox consoles due to performance issues on the Xbox Series S.

Instead of releasing a poorly performing title on the budget Series consoles, Larian Studios planned to scrap the Xbox version of the game if it couldn’t get the title up to snuff. However, after working alongside Microsoft and canning split screen from just the Series S version, Baldur’s Gate 3’s Xbox port is finally here.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox comes alongside the addition of Patch 5, which sees massive performance improvements across all platforms. With better VRAM and RAM usage, the award-winning roleplaying game now runs better than ever before for all gamers.

Of course, the new Xbox port of Baldur’s Gate 3 is still an absolutely massive game. For physical gamers, the new port comes on three discs with all previously released patches. These discs hold a massive 130GB install, which is pretty damn wild.

After winning the Game of the Year award at this year’s The Game Awards, Baldur’s Gate 3 is already an instant classic. As one of the most played games in the history of Steam, it’s also a PC gaming behemoth. After all, where else are you going to install all of those Shadowheart costume mods?

After years of early access updates, Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time. While the title went under the radar upon its initial release, the game’s mass of updates and stunning amount of content has taken gamers by storm.

After years of botched releases and microtransaction Hell, Baldur’s Gate 3 represents exactly what gamers want from their games. With no expansions planned for the future, Larian is already planning its next game, one that will break even more boundaries.
