Baldur’s Gate 3 is now beloved by many and those fans want more of this franchise. While this RPG won’t be getting an expansion anytime soon, gamers now want the MTG deck that crosses over with the series.

On Twitter, @BeguiledGamer shared some of the MTG Baldur’s Gate crossover cards and they have fans salivating. These cards are part of the Commanders Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate expansion which features characters from all over the D&D series.

Revealed back in 2022, Larian Studios hyped up the set by confirming that a number of Baldur’s Gate 3 characters will be appearing. Now that we’re in 2023, characters like Astarion, Karlach, and Gale are beloved by many, so people now want their cards.

Luckily, these characters come with some of their signature abilities from the game. Astarion has Deathtouch and Lifelink, so enemies who hurt him get hurt back while companions who heal also restore his life. Lae’zel adds a +1 to all counters, which is great for dealing a lot of damage.

Investing in MTG can be a time sink but most fans have already spent a lot of time on Baldur’s Gate 3. At its peak, the RPG was able to have over 800,000 concurrent players, which you don’t see a lot for single-player titles. Larian also revealed that players have spent 1225 years in this virtual world in less than a week’s time, which is insane.

Pretty much everyone was surprised by the success of Baldur’s Gate 3, even the devs at Larian. While single-player games are making a solid comeback, no one expected this kind of RPG to take hold on the mainstream, given how niche and complex it seemed. This goes to show that passion, respect for your audience, and bear sex go a long way with gamers.
