Xbox Cloud Gaming goes live: Here's how to stream games onto your phone via Project xCloud

Microsoft is leading the way with an impressive array of services and subscriptions that make things a little bit easier and cheaper for games.

You might have already seen the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S, but that's not all there is to shout about.

You've also got things like Game Pass to enjoy, which basically gives you access to a vast library of games instantly.

Not only that, but you can now play games on your phone too, and here's what you need to know about that.

What is Xbox Cloud Gaming?

Xbox Cloud Gaming is the new name for xCloud. This is there game streaming service, and it basically allows you to play the games you own on places other than your console.

That takes the onus of processing off of the hardware, and it means you can play your games on a tablet, a low-end laptop, or even a mobile phone.

The best thing about it though, is that you don't even have to own the games. It works alongside Xbox Game Pass, which means you can just use these two subscriptions to play plenty of games you don't even own for a console you might not have.

If that's not the case, then you'll be happy to know that all you need to do is download the Xbox Game Pass app on the Google Play store and you can find the game you want and start playing it thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming.

The best thing to do if you're going to go down this route is to make sure you have a good internet connection and look into buying a controller too.
