If your Overwatch 2 skins are missing, you are not alone.

Overwatch 2 had a rocky launch. The launch was crippled by DDoS attacks and server issues, resulting in players facing long queue times. Moreover, the Overwatch 2 login error and the error code BC-153 added salt to an already stinging wound.

Players who somehow managed to get into the game saw that some or all of their Overwatch 2 skins were missing. And it is not just skins; there have been reports of missing credits, heroes, effects, and other bits and pieces from Overwatch 2.

If you are one of the unfortunate players to have encountered this issue, we are here to help you out. This guide will walk you through what you need to do in order to get your missing Overwatch 2 skins back.

What to do if your Overwatch 2 skins are missing?

Thankfully, Blizzard is aware of this problem and working on a solution. The updated list of known Overwatch 2 issues reads, "some cosmetics, items, and currency that players own are not showing up in their collections." So rest assured that you will get your items back.

In the meantime, Blizzard recommends you double-check the following if you are missing skins in Overwatch 2.

  • If you appear to be missing all your Overwatch 2 skins, make sure that you are logging into the correct Battle.net account.
  • If a recent Loot Box or League Token purchase is not showing up, check your Order History to see if the purchase was completed successfully. It will take up to 72 hours for orders to complete.
  • The Founder's Pack or Watchpoint Pack skins will not become available until the promotion goes live. See the announcement about the Founder's Pack and the Shop page about the Watchpoint Pack for more details.

Hopefully, without any additional input from players, the missing items will be restored soon. A patch to correct these issues is probably in development and should be ready for release soon. Until then, you'll have to play Overwatch 2 using default skins or the available ones.

Why are your skins missing in Overwatch 2?

The Blizzard forums were flooded with reports of missing cosmetics shortly after Overwatch 2 was released. Following the user reports about the issue, Blizzard technical forum agent Kershew wrote:

We have received multiple reports of this and are currently investigated. You should not have lost any skins or golden weapons so is most likely a bug though I do not have any other information beyond it has been reported to be investigated.

Your Overwatch 2 skins are missing most likely as a result of a bug, as Kershew mentioned. A patch is probably on its way, which will restore them for you. So sit back and relax and maybe play Overwatch 2 with what you have left.
