How to raise Rested buff duration in Enshrouded

In Enshrouded, you can get the Rested buff when you sit down and relax. This is in the form of a timer of 12 minutes which increases your maximum stamina and regeneration speed and constitutes three conditions: Sheltered, Warmth, and Comfort.

To obtain the Rested buff in Enshrouded, you must find a suitable resting spot near a campfire or, ideally, your Flame Altar. Resting by your Flame Altar grants all three rested conditions at their maximum levels. You'll be able to see these stats on the top left of your in-game UI.

Securing the Rested buff is particularly important for venturing into the perilous fog of the Shroud, as it bolsters your maximum stamina, health, and stamina regeneration, thereby prolonging your outdoor ventures. You'll want to extend the time of the Rested buff as much as possible.

To extend the duration of the Rested buff in Enshrouded, you'll need to fulfil all three rested conditions: Sheltered, Warmth, and Comfort. While achieving Shelter and Warmth is relatively straightforward, attaining Comfort can prove more challenging.

You can get Shelter and Warmth by using any basic camp and fire setup—which is a roof over your head and a warm fire. Note that the torch doesn't count as a fire, as the source of Warmth needs to be static. You can get Warmth from Flame Altars, Campfires, and Fireplaces.

Comfort requires the incorporation of furniture and other amenities into your base or homestead. Achieving a Comfort score of at least 25 is necessary to unlock the full Rested effect, thereby lengthening the buff's duration from 12 to 17 minutes.

To increase your Comfort stat, you'll need to place furniture in your base. It doesn't have to be expensive, as even rudimentary items will work, and sometimes may yield higher Comfort scores than more expensive furnishings. You can craft different types of furniture at the Carpenter such as Tables, Chairs, Illumination, and more to make your base feel more cozy.
