Best PS4 games for lockdown: 7 titles that will get you through 2020

If you're hanging onto your PS4, or if you just want to experience the best games on the console but on your PS5, then you'll need a good place to start.

Thankfully for you, we've got a big old list of the seven must-play games on the console.

While we did recently do a best PC games list for the year, we've chosen different games for this list, despite there being a lot of potential games for both lists. That means you can get some extra good games by checking out that list too.

So, without any more ado, here are the games you should play to close out your 2020.

Bloodborne

Bloodborne is the single greatest game on the PS4 and we won't hear any different from anybody at any point.

It's probably the best FromSoftware game in existence, and with the likes of the Dark Souls series and Sekrio in that list, that's saying something. Sure, it's hard, but it's worth it.

God of War

"BOY!"

If you're looking to play that part of an angry dad with some magical weapons and the willpower necessary to brute force your way through all manner of mythological creatures, then this is the game for you. Also, you get to hear the word boy a lot.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Robot dinosaurs.

Sure, you might need more to sell you on a game, and that's okay, but robot dinosaurs is enough of a reason for many. Set in a post-post-apocalypse, Horizon has you exploring a magnificent world filled with incredible robots and also some very cool arrows.

Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 didn't really need to get bigger, but it did, and it turns out that it's actually a very good improvement on an already excellent RPG.

You get to right the wrongs of the world as you go around and fix the hearts of evil people and try and correct their misdeeds. It's also filled with all manner of creatures for you to battle it out against and an incredibly fun combat system.

Journey

If you've not played Journey then all you need to know is that it's one of the most impactful games in existence.

You owe it to yourself and everybody else to go and play it right now.

Shadow of the Colossus

Shadow of the Colossus is an incredible game, but the way this remake was done is even more impressive.

Fans of the original game should make sure they've checked this out, and everyone else should play it too because it is out of this world good.
