Best PC games for lockdown: 7 titles that will get you through 2020

This year's been kind of rough, and lots of people are down on work, money, and patience.

Thankfully, gaming is still a good way to escape from these things.

Different games offer different experiences, so we've tried to put together a list with something for everyone and every different mood.

So, here are our choices for the best PC games to play to help you enjoy the rest of your year. A lot of these are free or fairly cheap too.

Terraria

Terraria might just be one of the most incredible games ever released.

While many view it as simply a 2D Minecraft, it's far far more than that. The last update came out this year, and it's put the finishing touches on a game which has an incredible community and deserves every good thing anyone has to say about it.

Rocket League

Rocket League was one of the first PS Plus games to show off just how impressive the model could be for some games.

It's also now free-to-play, and if you're looking for a game that's enjoyable no matter how good you are at it, then Rocket League is the game for you.

Apex Legends

There are a lot of good battle royale games out there, but in our opinion, nothing compares to Apex Legends.

This has been the case for a while now, but with the addition of the Olympus map, it's hard not to be utterly taken with the game. Plus, again, it's free.

Among Us

You've heard of Among Us. It's the indie game that took over a few months ago.

It's still a blast to play though, and it's not even that expensive either. Plus, if you really want to, you can play it on mobile too.

Golf With Your Friends

This is another party game that's best played with a few friends.

Golf With Your Friends is basically a mini-golf game, but you all take your shots at the same time and you can mess with the rules by adding in jumping or powerups. It's absurd, and you'll love it.

Dark Souls 3

Dark Souls 3 is the best game in an excellent series.

Sure it's hard, but if you can convince a few friends to play with you it's an excellent co-op experience.

No Man's Sky

No Man's Sky was a chilled out game at launch, but not necessarily the one that a lot of people wanted.

However, it's been finely tuned and upgraded into one of the most impressive games around, and you can pretty much play it forever if you want to.
