Obi-Wan vs Darth Vader fight leaked ahead of Kenobi show release

Lucasfilm's upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi show isn't releasing until late May. However, the upcoming series is one of the most hotly anticipated releases in all of television — if not pop culture — for the rest of 2022.

With this in mind, leakers and industry insiders are paying special attention to the Disney Plus series. Just like Spider-Man: No Way Home before it, the series is set to be one of the most leaked pieces of entertainment in history, and the leaks are only just starting.

Obi-Wan vs Darth Vader fight leaked

One of the reasons fans are excited to watch Lucasfilm’s Obi-Wan Kenobi limited series is to see the character fight Darth Vader. While Obi has fought Vader multiple times — Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope — this rematch occurs at the mid-point of both characters’ cinematic journeys.

It’s not known when the two will interact in the limited run series. The fight between Jedi Master and his fallen apprentice may be kept for the series’ finale. On the other hand, the battle could occur at any point in the show. (It’s probably in the finale, though.)

With the rematch being so anticipated by fans, it was only a matter of time before someone leaked something from the scene. While some were expecting some leaked stills or blurry images, leakers have released a sizable snippet of the upcoming battle.

Posted on the StarWarsLeaked subreddit, a behind the scenes look at the fight shows Obi-Wan being overpowered by Darth Vader. The scene shows the two in a stalemate, pushing lightsabers against each other. However, Vader quickly uses force push to send the Jedi flying.

What other battles will there be?

The upcoming Star Wars show will be including a battle that every series fan is excited to see. However, will there be other fights in the Kenobi series? Or will Vader be the main antagonist to overcome?

As it turns out, the original version of Kenobi was set to feature Darth Maul. Not only were scenes written for Kenobi’s vengeful arch nemesis, but scenes were reportedly shot. Unfortunately, those scenes will no longer be in the series.

On the other hand, it’s pretty much confirmed that there will be other battles throughout the story. One fight in particular will see Kenobi battle The Grand Inquisitor, a vicious Jedi hunter. It’s not known if Kenobi will end up killing the character.

Other Inquisitors will likely cross sabers with Kenobi as the story unfolds. However, at this point, many details are still unconfirmed, but battles will likely be a-plenty throughout the show.
