Chinese electronics giant Xiaomi has expanded its smart TV offering by announcing the new Redmi X smart TV series. We've got all the details on these powerful new 4K TVs here...
Xiaomi is best known for its Mi and Redmi smartphones, which have flooded the market over the last few years. In fact, Xiaomi is now in the top five smartphone manufacturers worldwide, creeping up on the likes of Apple and Samsung thanks to its large Chinese customer base.

Now, the company is looking to make progress in the world of smart TVs. After first introducing MiTV back in 2013, now Xiaomi has added the Redmi X50, X55 and X65 smart TVs to its ranks, and they look great!

Xiaomi Redmi X smart TV series specs
The new Redmi X smart TV promises top performance in a beautiful package. Here are the stats, courtesy of the folks at NotebookCheck:
- Screen sizes available: 65, 55 and 50 inches
- Resolution: 4K ultra HD
- Video processing: MEMC
- Audio: 4 x 12.5 W speakers with Dolby Audio
- Operating system: unconfirmed, but likely Android
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Storage: 32 GB

Xiaomi Redmi X smart TV series features
As you'd expect with such a well-equipped smart TV, the Redmi X boasts many industry-leading features. Details are sparse at the moment, but here's what we know so far:
- Voice and IoT controllable -- All three models support voice gestures and IoT devices
- Dolby Audio -- Enhanced sound technology with surround sound and subwoofer effects
- 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage -- Plenty of memory and space to save all your favourites

Xiaomi Redmi X smart TV series price
Xiaomi has announced the domestic (Chinese) MSRP for the Redmi X55 as CNY 2,299 (approximately £261.35) and the Redmi X65 as CNY 3,299 (approximately £375.03). No word on the X50 yet, and no news yet on international pricing for the range.

Xiaomi Redmi X smart TV series release date
Just like the price, there is currently no word on when the Redmi X series will be available outside of China, where the range is currently scheduled to hit the streets on 10th June 2020.
