There are a lot of people who really like listening to their own choice of music as much as possible. That's one of the reasons that both consoles decided to integrate Spotify in a way that allows the user to choose their own soundtracks.
It's a cool feature and one that's really helped people define how they want to game.
It's also just a nice inclusion if you don't own a radio or a speaker system because you can just use your console.
It's because of this that people are wondering if you'll be able to get Spotify on the Xbox Series X and Series S. So, here's what we know about it.
Is Spotify on Xbox Series X/S confirmed or not?
Yes. In a recent blog post, Xbox confirmed that alongside countless other streaming services, Spotify will be available on the next-gen consoles from Day 1.
"Just as we’re bringing forward all the games that play on Xbox One today, we’re excited to announce that your favorite entertainment apps you enjoy today on Xbox One will be available on Xbox Series X and Series S," the post read, referencing the backwards compatibility of the Xbox Series X console.
"That means your favorite streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Spotify, YouTube, YouTube TV, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, Peacock, Vudu, FandangoNow, Twitch, Sky Go, NOW TV, Sky Ticket and more, will be waiting for you when you boot your new Xbox console on November 10."
This confirmation was hardly unexpected, given that some people have become accustomed to being able to use their own choice of music when playing games.
