Amid the Coronavirus-enforced lockdown lifestyle, you might have recently decided to buy a Nintendo Switch.
Maybe you spent some time figuring out if you wanted the Switch or the Switch Lite, or you looked up the best deals you could find. It's an exciting time, right up until you go to actually make the purchase and there are none left in stock.
It's not just an issue in the UK either; it's a global one. There just aren't any Switches in stock, and it's a little upsetting if you really wanted to buy one and sink some time into Breath Of The Wild or Animal Crossing.
Nintendo Switch sold out!
Nintendo made a statement on its Japanese Twitter account talking about Nintendo Switch stock issues and promising to fill the orders already made ASAP.
And so, GamesIndustry.biz reached out to the US side of Nintendo to ask about the stock issues currently plaguing the company.

More Nintendo Switch stock is on the way
Nintendo told the site, "Nintendo Switch hardware is selling out at various retail locations in the U.S., but more systems are on the way. We apologize for any inconvenience."
It's only logical that Nintendo will try to produce more consoles, especially given how well the Nintendo Switch has been selling.
The trouble is that the world is a little less efficient than usual, so knowing when we'll see new Nintendo Switch consoles is hard to say.
At the moment, stock shortages could only be sorted via new stock, but new stock has to be made and delivered first. If you've tried to get anything delivered to your house recently, then you're probably aware of how much slower things are at the moment.

Who knows when Nintendo Switch stock will return?
It makes perfect sense of course, but without a rough timeframe, it's impossible to know when this particular issue will actually be resolved.
It's not anybody's fault, of course, but it can still be somewhat frustrating for those stuck indoors who simply wanted to lose themselves in another world.
Your best bet, at least at the moment, might actually be Google Stadia: you can currently get two months of Stadia Pro for free, and that requires the least amount of hardware out of all the potential gaming choices.

That doesn't help you if you really wanted to play Switch-exclusive games, but it might be the best thing available to you right now.
It's a tough situation, and while it's nice to know that Nintendo is trying their hardest, here's hoping those Nintendo Switch consoles are back on sale soon...
