The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S have finally arrived in our homes, and you might well be wondering how to redeem a code on your shiny new console.
After all, with discs slowly being phased out of gaming, digital downloads are gradually becoming the norm - especially with the Xbox Series S not even having a disc drive!

So if you've bought a game or a membership for your new Xbox console and it has turned out to be a digital code, here's what you need to do...
How redeem a code on Xbox Series X
Just follow these simple steps if you want to redeem a code on Xbox Series X ...
- Turn on your console and head to the Microsoft Store (which is represented on your console home screen by an icon that looks like a shopping bag with a Microsoft logo on it).
- Once you're in the Microsoft Store, look for the 'Redeem' option (it is towards the bottom of the navigation bar on the left hand side, represented in symbol form by a small QR code)
- When you see the box that asks for you code, simply type the code in using the keypad provided!
- When you've typed the whole thing, click where it says 'Check Code'
- If it tells you the code is wrong, try entering it again - hopefully it will work second time!

The Xbox Series S actually runs on the exact same operating system as the Xbox Series X, so you can use these exact same steps...
