What is Epic Games Metaverse?
If you have no idea about the Epic Games Megaverse, you are not alone. There isn't much information about the Epic Games' Metaverse since it isn't a real thing right now. However, we know that the Megaverse is a virtual world that Epic Games will be launching.
Some reports say that, like Meta, it is an umbrella term for Epic’s vision for the Metaverse. Epic has been working on creating a Metaverse for a while. In April 2021, Epic Games completed a $1 billion round of funding to support its long-term vision for the Metaverse.
Epic Games CEO and Founder Tim Sweeney said: "Their [investors] investment will help accelerate our work around building connected social experiences in Fortnite, Rocket League and Fall Guys, while empowering game developers and creators with Unreal Engine, Epic Online Services and the Epic Games Store".
We believe Epic Games Megaverse will deliver on the vision of a fully-connected social virtual world and bring the best features of virtual worlds and augmented reality to gaming.
