Paradox Interactive has announced an interactive tutorial, Legends of Crusader Kings III, that will introduce Crusader Kings III gameplay to beginners by using the stories of three rulers in the game.

Paradox Interactive is taking the initiative to bring its real-time strategy game Crusader Kings III to more people with a new DLC due in May.

Titled “Legends of Crusader Kings III,” the expansion will help new players familiarise themselves with the gameplay and develop their play style by using narratives involving five of the game’s kings.

These Kings are Petty King Murchad of Munster, Duke Vratislav of Bohemia, Duchess Matilda of Tuscany, Emir Yahya of Toledo, and Duke Robert of Apulia.

These rulers have their own stories and lifestyles, dictating the optimal path players can follow when controlling these sovereigns. These factors affect the player's decisions and actions when playing the monarch's campaign.

Each ruler's storyline is driven by a pre-written narrative, allowing players to follow the story and build familiarity with the gameplay as they progress.

Players can also create their kings and use that custom character to follow the tutorial.

To prepare for Legends, Paradox released a small update that added new events to the game and revised the biographies of the five featured Kings to make them more distinctive. The update also introduced changes to the classic “Rags to Riches” timeline to highlight the five rulers.

All those who already own Crusader Kings III can receive the update for free.
