Arctic thermal paste 2021: Why PC gamers might want to buy the new MX-5 cooling solution

PC Building has seen a substantial uptick in the last year because what else are we meant to do at the moment?

People need hobbies, and sometimes those hobbies are fancy.

Well, if you're looking at building a new PC, or maybe just updating your current one, you might be on the lookout for a new thermal paste to use.

We've got good news, Arctic is releasing a new thermal paste, and it looks pretty incredible.

Why is the Arctic MX-5 thermal paste so impressive

This is the latest paste from Arctic, who are fairly well-renowned as one of the better creators of this kind of product.

The MX-5 looks set to build on the already impressive previous versions of the paste and allow for more efficient cooling, and it continues the tradition of only needing to be applied every eight years, which is an incredibly long time.

As it stands, the details aside from these are fairly thin on the ground, but it's undoubtedly going to be a great paste to use on your PC, and given the legacy of the company, should be of the highest quality too.

Maybe in two months time GPUs will be readily available again too. Maybe we can finally buy the upgrades we've been after since they were announced. Maybe.
