The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are out now, but you might be struggling to find one and wondering when a restock might happen, with Phil Spencer apologising to fans during GlitchCon over the lack of Xbox consoles in stock.

If you’re not wanting to give in and buy an overpriced Xbox from a scalper on eBay, online retailers are gradually refilling their Xbox stock, especially now they have sent out (most of) their pre-order units to those lucky enough to secure one.

After all, the internet is a wonderful thing, so it’s not too unreasonable to assume that there is a stock tracker out there which can help you find console availability.

Where can you buy Xbox Series X? Where is the new Xbox in stock?

Right now, at the exact minute that I’m writing this article, it looks like the Xbox Series X and S are sold out pretty much everywhere, much like the PlayStation 5’s stock.

If you’re wondering how long it will be until the Xbox Series X stock level increases, Microsoft’s CFO, Tim Stuart, explained at the Jefferies Interactive Entertainment conference that he believes, “we’ll continue to see supply shortages as we head into the post-holiday quarter, so Microsoft’s Q3, calendar Q1. And then when we get to Q4, all of our supply chain continuing to go full speed heading into kind of the pre-summer months.”

From this, it seems this Xbox scarcity is set to continue until Spring 2021, when the demand level will come down. If you’re still eager to buy an Xbox Series X/S as soon as possible, here’s where to look:

Currys previously confirmed it would have stock available on November 24 from 1 PM GMT, but as expected this sold out almost immediately. The retailer appears to be regularly adding more stock, so we’d recommend checking the stock here.

We know that Argos has sold out of its Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S stock, but if you click on either of those two links, you can register to be notified by Argos about stock availability!

There is also a live product page for the Xbox Series X on Amazon – you can click here to check it out. And there’s an Amazon page for the Xbox Series S here. At the time of writing, both these two products are “Currently Unavailable” through official Amazon channels, with the latest stock wave selling out in mere minutes. However, you might be able to buy a second-hand one by clicking where it says ‘Available from these sellers’, depending on if anyone is reselling their brand-new console.

GAME has also currently sold out of its second wave of Xbox Series X/S stock, with the retailer promising to ship all orders of the consoles “placed from the 10th November by the 18th December.” It does have other options available for December, bundled with various Xbox products, which you can view here.

There is an official product page for the Xbox Series X/S on the Microsoft Store, which you can view in the US here, or here if you’re in the UK – this seems to be out of stock at the moment, too.

How to get Xbox Series X restock alerts

There’s no word yet on when the next restock of Xbox Series X consoles will be, but there are some things you can do in the meantime to improve your chances of getting one.

If you want to be the first to know when the Xbox Series X comes back into stock, the best thing to do is to sign up for alerts on – if you click that link, you’ll be taken to their dedicated page about the Xbox Series X console.

You’ll see an option for ‘Quick Sign Up’ on the right-hand side of the page: drop your email in there and Stock Informer will inform you of stock as it arrives.

Stock Informer doesn’t work with every retailer on the planet, though, so you might want to double down on your chances by keeping your eyes peeled on Twitter, too: follow our friends @GfinityDeals, by clicking that link, and they’ll keep you updated with next-gen stock updates as they happen!
