Bethesda Game Studios is following up on Skyrim’s infinite missions for its new sci-fi RPG Starfield. With the inclusion of procedurally generated daily Mission Boards, you’ll always have something to do in the new game.

Revealed by Starfield producer Jamie Mallory, Starfield will allow players to pick up new quests from Mission Boards across the universe. New missions will be available every day, making sure that fans never have nothing to do.

Mallory explained that there is a massive amount of content available via numerous interactable items. Some missions may come from NPCs, others from items, but if you ever find yourself running out of content, the daily mission board will fill you right up.

Endless missions were initially criticised for their implementation in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Known as Miscellaneous Missions, these quests were automatically added into the quest journal, infuriating fans who could technically never finish their journal.

In comparison, Starfield’s Mission Board appears to allow players to individually select which quests they wish to take on. This means that quest logs should no longer be filled with quests they don’t wish to complete, without the need of mods to block them from appearing.

Starfield will give players an unprecedented amount of freedom in a Bethesda game. After the shocking launch of Fallout 76, Starfield is a huge return to form for Bethesda RPGs. Combined with massive mod support, Starfield is expected to be a game of the generation.

Bethesda’s Starfield finally launches on Xbox Series and PC on September 6th. The game will also be playable early for Constellation Edition owners, launching on September 1st.

Finally, Starfield won’t just be playable on new Xbox consoles and high-end PCs. The game will also be available via streaming on Xbox One, PC and mobile.
