Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is bringing back two of the original game’s best characters. While the story will mostly focus on protagonist Cal Kestis, the wanted Jedi will reunite with his past crewmates.

Revealed in a new trailer for the upcoming video game, Survivor will feature the return of Greez, the ship’s captain, and Merrin, a Dathomir Nightsister.

Taking place five years after the first game, both characters have been through a lot. Following a half-decade of adventures, Greez has a new arm whereas Merrin has an awesome new hairstyle.

The trailer doesn’t reveal much about these characters’ involvement in the new story. However, considering their integral roles in the first game, they’re expected to be present for the majority of the story.

Alongside Merrin and Greez, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor features two new side characters to interact with. The new trailer shows the game’s companion AI, allowing new force-sensitive characters to join you in battle.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order follows Cal Kestis in his journey to find a true safe haven, free from the shackles of the Empire.

In recent interviews, developer Respawn Entertainment revealed that its Jedi series is planned to be a trilogy. If Jedi: Survivor is successful, the Titanfall developer will likely move onto its next story in the series.

Since the release of Jedi: Fallen Order, fans have been clamouring to have Cal Kestis pop up in more Star Wars media. Currently, the character has exclusively appeared in Respawn’s franchise, but fans have begged Disney to bring the character into live-action.

With Cal’s design being a complete likeness of his actor Cameron Monaghan, there’s no reason why we couldn’t get a live-action appearance sometime in the future. After all, we now have a five year time skip to play in.

Releasing on April 28th, the new Star Wars game is playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
