A Star Wars Jedi: Survivor glitch does something special and turns Cal Kestis’ lightsaber into the Darksaber from The Mandalorian. While most of the glitches for Jedi: Survivor have made playing the PC version hell, this makes us wish we had this weapon as an in-game cosmetic.
This Darksaber glitch was discovered by Reddit user tontongas, who seemed to have a blast with this glitch. It’s only a few seconds into the video that we see the accidental Darksaber in action, killing stormtroopers left and right.
Seeing this in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor makes us wish we had the option to turn our lightsaber into that color. Right now, there are a number of color options players can choose and certain handles can even turn it into Kylo Ren’s saber from the sequels. However, there is no true Darksaber in the game and that’s just sad.
Most fans will know the Darksaber from The Mandalorian, where it plays a vital part in the second and third seasons. Our lead character Din Djarin even uses the Darksaber a couple of times, looking like a badass while using it.
Hardcore fans will point out that the Darksaber first appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which is also where Bo Katan first appeared. Popular prequel villain Darth Maul was the most popular user of the weapon before it became a focal point in The Mandalorian. Now it’s just a cool glitch in a great video game.
If the folks at Respawn get their way, we could get a third and final sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. We’d like to see the Darksaber in there as a neat bonus item, even if they make it an annoying pre-order cosmetic. Maybe Ubisoft can implement it somehow in their open-world Star Wars game, assuming that actually gets announced and comes out.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available on the PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. For the sake of optimal gaming, play this on next-gen consoles until better patches come out.
