After a long day of web swinging through the streets of New York in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker and Miles Morales will be able to relax at the Coney Island theme park. In the new PS5 exclusive, the theme park isn’t just a pretty sight, it’s a working attraction.

Via Dexerto, Insomniac Project Director Jeannette Lee revealed that the Spider-Man 2 map on PS5 doesn’t just use Sony’s next-gen console to deliver a bigger map. Sure, New York is bigger than the first game, but it’s also substantially more detailed and also more interactive.

Lee confirmed that one of the big additions to make New York feel more lived in was the Coney Island Theme Park. Instead of just swinging past the lights and sounds of Ferris Wheels and rollercoasters, you’ll actually be able to ride them as either Peter Parker or Miles Morales.

It’s not stated if the superhero characters will be donning their iconic spandex suits during Ferris Wheel and Rollercoaster segments. However, coming from the studio that saw Spider-Man ride the train in full costumed attired, we fully expect that to be the case.

Lee teases that this won’t be the only interactive element of the overhauled New York in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The PS5 exclusive superhero game may have a number of hidden activities outside of pummeling bad guys and collecting goobers across the sprawling concrete jungle. While fighting foes and picking up doo-dads is very fun, more interactive elements will help to make the city feel alive.

Of course, players will also have to deal with a number of deadly threats present across the city as well. Alongside the typical ne'er do wells, the hulking Symbiote Venom will be a presence to deal with as well as the furious Kraven the Hunter.
