New evidence shows it looks like the Resident Evil 4 remake is going to be Capcom’s most faithful remake so far. This is obviously good news for fans since this is often considered to be one of the greatest video games ever made.

According to Game Informer’s huge story on the upcoming game, this is going to be the most 1-to-1 remake yet, with some scenes reportedly being recreated shot-for-shot. Considering how dark the trailers made it seem, this could mean that the game could still have some of its sillier segments too.

Beyond being a faithful remake, Capcom is also adding plenty of new aspects to the Resident Evil 4 remake. From what’s been reported, there will be new enemies, side quests, the ability to hold multiple knives, and more. Some adjustments were also made to make Ashley less bothersome to protect, though only bad gamers had to hear her shout “LEON!” multiple times, let's be honest.

There's no word on cut content, so were still waiting to find out just how deep the remake goes. Many fans were disappointed with some of the cut parts from the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. While most do enjoy the Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3 remake was criticized for cutting plenty of things out and not adding enough to justify that decision.

So far, it looks like Resident Evil 4 could be the best remake from Capcom thus far. Admittedly, this is already one of the best games ever made, so making that prettier and adding some QOL improvements is just icing on the cake. There was actually some backlash to the remake at first since the original game is readily available and still an excellent experience.
