An insider has hinted that the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC will be bringing back Mega Evolutions to the franchise. We haven’t seen Mega Evolutions since the 3DS era of games and this would be a great way to bring back this feature for future games.

Riddler Khu, one of the more reliable sources for Pokémon leaks, teased images of Mega Evolutions. Khu shares this with a winking face emoji, hinting that we’ll see some of these Pokémon in the upcoming DLC. Obviously, take this with a grain of salt, but this could be legitimate.

Previous rumors claimed that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC will include the Kalos region somehow. The Kalos region is where Pokémon X and Y were set in. Those games introduced Mega Evolutions to the franchise, making this leak even more interesting than usual.

We’ll have to wait for actual details about the upcoming DLC, though that might come sooner than we think. It was stated that Pokémon Day would be taking place later this month, so we could get actual details on the DLC when that happens. Hopefully, the DLC lives up to expectations, especially since the games were better than expected.

Pokémon Sword and Shield were the last games to get DLC. While those two games were fine on their own, many felt that the DLC added so much more to them. Adding new open areas to explore and adding more fan-favorite Pokémon made these DLC worth purchasing. Let’s hope we can say the same for Scarlet and Violet.

As it stands, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are already some of the best-selling Switch games ever made. Currently, the two games have already sold more than 20 million copies and we’re sure they’ll sell even more.

Fans can pick up Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on the Nintendo Switch right now. Expect more news on the DLC to be revealed later this month, along with an update that will supposedly fix some of the technical issues.
