It looks like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC is on the way. According to one leaker, the game will follow the lead taken by Pokémon Sword and Shield, bringing new areas to the creature-collecting RPG.
Many felt that the Sword and Shield DLC expansions were able to fulfil the potential that the base games couldn’t. Since fans seem to like Scarlet and Violet, despite their faults, there’s hope that the DLC for these installments will be even better. Right now, we’ll settle for a patch that fixes the various bugs and glitches.
Twitter user and Pokémon insider @Riddler_Khu claimed that the DLC is “so cool,” hoping fans get to see the future content soon. Unsurprisingly, Khu didn’t reveal any actual details aside from their excitement but it’s the first we heard of the DLC in a while, outside of speculation.
Rumours claim that the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC will involve Kalos somehow, getting fans excited. For those unaware, Kalos is the region of Pokémon X and Y, which were the first 3DS games in the series. They proved to be fan-favorite games, with Greninja easily being the most popular Pokémon from that generation.
Only time will tell if the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC will make these games any better but we hope that’s the case. With Scarlet and Violet cutting a lot of the Pokédex once again, we expect the DLC to add a number of favourites to whatever new land is added. The DLC for Sword and Shield added Bulbasaur and Squirtle to those games, so we hope Scarlet and Violet will do the same for even more Poképals.
