The internet has ridiculed the horrid performance problems plaguing Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, although they are still fun games at their core. However, PC players who want something more can now download a mod that makes these games run at 60 FPS, and it's a sight to behold.

The performance issues of these games have become quite infamous, to the point that Nintendo had to issue refunds to frustrated customers. It was already known that PC emulation could make these games look and run better, but no one thought they could look this good.

Will this mod force Game Freak to properly patch Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Or is this more proof that the Switch is in dire need of an upgrade?

On Twitter, theboy181 showed off an insane mod that makes these flawed JRPGs run at a full 60 FPS, and it's magnificent to witness. Frankly, it puts the actual Switch versions to shame and makes us wish that this is how both titles ran on the handheld/console hybrid.

Due to all of the technical problems, fans are mixed about the latest entries in the Pokémon franchise. Nevertheless, the games have already sold 10 million copies, breaking Nintendo sales record. It just shows that most fans don’t really care about the technicalities as long as it’s a fun Pokémon experience.

The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet 60fps mod makes the games a lot more palatable to those with sensitive eyes. However, it doesn’t actually improve the gameplay of the new Pokémon title. Everything good about the game is purely gameplay focused, this just makes it more enjoyable to look at.
