If you want to play Starbreeze’s Payday 3 before its upcoming release date, you’re in luck. Well, if you want to be flown into a Swedish prison, that is.
In a new marketing promotion for the new bank robber FPS game, developer Starbreeze is giving you the chance to win jail time and early access to the new Payday sequel.
Revealed in the new Do Time To Get Time teaser, Starbreeze is giving all fans the chance to be flown into Sweden to play the game behind bars. Of course, this will also be in a Swedish prison, so the experience will likely be a lot lovelier than the brutalist hell-prisons of America, Britain and other countries.
The trailer claims that they aren’t looking for anyone “weak”. They want someone “willing to go to prison to play Payday 3 first”. If that’s you, then you’re possibly in luck.
In order to have the chance to win some jail time, all you need to do is apply on the official Payday 3 website right here. The application is only open for the next six days, at the time of writing, so you might want to hurry up.
Of course, anyone who signs up for the chance to play Payday 3 in a jail cell needs to be over the age of 18. Other than that, there doesn’t appear to be any other restrictions on the application.
Payday 3 has been almost a decade in the making from developer Starbreeze. The upcoming sequel has a host of all-new heists, weapons, characters and more.
Releasing on PC and console, the upcoming threequell has the chance to redeem the series’ reputation on the latter platform. Considering the series’ past on console, it’s hard to trust Payday 3’s console ports, although they do seem more likely to keep in line with the game’s PC version this time around.
Payday 3 releases on PC and console on September 21, 2023. The game will launch on Xbox Game Pass.
