Gotham Knights will be getting new DLC that hopes to improve the game with reworked boss fights against some classic Batman foes. The game will also add enemies of the “supercharged” and “most wanted” variety, though details on these mooks aren’t yet known.

Batman Arkham Videos broke news on the DLC via new Steam trophies that aren’t connected to current in-game events. From what can be seen, it looks like fans will be fighting Clayface, Harley Quinn, and Mr. Freeze again but in new situations. Hopefully, this means a new story for players to go through.

So far, the Gotham Knights DLC hasn’t been officially revealed by Warner Bros. Montreal or DC, though these trophies are a dead giveaway. We can assume that some sort of announcement is planned for the struggling superhero game, though it’s too early to say if it will revive interest.

Upon release, Gotham Knights was criticized for a lot of things. Many bemoaned the forced multiplayer aspect that made certain fights harder than they should be. Others hated how it’s 30 FPS on current-gen consoles, despite looking like an average PS4 or Xbox One game.

Despite these criticisms, the game does have some fans and it seems to be better than Marvel’s Avengers. There are people who like the story and some of the directions it takes, which are a bit brave for a Batman universe story. Of course, these fans still think the game is flawed but they are enjoying what it is, for better or worse.

Funnily enough, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is facing similar criticisms and it isn’t even out yet. Previews haven’t lit the world on fire, with many feeling that it's a typical looter shooter. Warner Bros. recently delayed the game to a 2024 release, with many hoping they remove the online-only component for single-player.
