The final season of Diablo 3 is flourishing, with many saying that it puts its ARPG successor Diablo 4 to shame. Since the action RPG is no longer getting new content, Activision Blizzard went all out with its final major update.
Activision Blizzard released patch notes for the final season and fans are happy with what’s coming. From a new single-player mode to changes made with Paragon Points, there’s a lot to enjoy here.
Solo Self Found (SSF) is a heavily-requested feature that has finally made its way to Diablo 3. For those unaware, SSF is a pure single-player experience where you can’t team up with others or even trade equipment with them. This mode will also have its own leadership boards, letting fans brag about their solo experiences.
Paragon Points have also changed drastically, with a total of 800 Paragon Points available for your character. Before this update, players could only have 50 Paragon Points per attribute. Now, they can go all out with 200 Paragon Points per attribute.
Community-led changes are also a major part of this season, with the devs taking a lot of fan input into account. Toxic Lurkers and Dark Berserkers have been removed from the Greater Rift, making those challenges less annoying. Various balances have also been made to the character classes, ensuring a more refined experience.
Activision Blizzard announced a while ago that Season 29 would be the final season for Diablo 3. This is so the team could put their complete focus on Diablo 4 and most fans understood the decision.
It might be wise for fans to stay and play Diablo 3 a bit more since its follow-up is still a bit messy. Although Diablo 4 came out to critical acclaim, various changes have made playing the action RPG less fun. Even the devs in Activision Blizzard admitted that the first season isn’t fun to play, which you never want to hear.
