Anakin Skywalker leaps into Fortnite to slay countless younglings

Jedi Knight, but not Master, Anakin Skywalker is joining the ever-expanding cast of Fortnite. Leaping into the popular battle royale game, Star Wars’ most troubled protagonist can now take down an infinite number of younglings.

Releasing on May 2nd, two days before Star Wars Day, Skywalker will ride the Battle Bus into Fortnite where he can attempt to nab a Victory Royale.

The Fortnite Anakin Skywalker skin is based on the character’s coolest appearance: Revenge of the Sith. Replicating the character’s iconic Mustafar battle outfit, you’ll fight with not just your robotic arm, but your hot looks as well.

Anakin’s addition to the Fortnite roster does have some huge crossover poenttial. Star Wars fans that play the battle royale game will be able to put the character up against a number of other characters from the Galaxy Far, Far Away.

For example, Skywalker will now be able to fight The Mandalorian, Rey Skywalker, Kylo Ren, his son Luke Skywalker, his daughter Leia Boba Fett, Han Solo, Fennec Shand and, of course, his slightly more evil self: Darth Vader. Unfortunately, he still can’t fight Max Rebo, the most overpowered Star Wars character there is.

While the Anakin Skywalker Fortnite skin is the only Star Wars Day announcement for the game, there does appear to be more in the works. In the promotional material for the character’s appearance, a number of beautiful Imperial Star Destroyers can be seen populating the skies. Will this impact the game at all?

Nevertheless, even if Anakin is the only addition, the fact that Anakin Skywalker can now officially hit the griddy while slaying younglings is a great thing in our books. Now, let me see you hit that default dance, Skywalker!

Unfortunately, Cal Kestis isn’t in Fortnite yet, but hopefully one day he will be. At least, we hope he will.
