While Jim Ryan may have recently admitted "we’re more than a few minutes from the future of VR" and that plans for the PS5's own VR headset are still a long way off, PSVR is still playable on the next-gen console via backwards compatibility.
However, unlike other backwards compatible games from the PS4-era, its not as simple when it comes to PSVR games. As those with a PSVR headset will know, you need a PlayStation Camera that tracks your movement to play VR titles like Beat Saber.
While the PS5's range of accessories includes a PS5 HD Camera, this is not compatible with PSVR, meaning you still need to use your original PlayStation Camera from the PS4, albeit with a special adapter to connect it to the PS5.

How to get a free PS5 VR adapter
To pick up one of the PS5 PlayStation Camera adapter from Sony, you need to go to the PlayStation Support page here.
Once you've verified you're not a robot, you'll need to enter your PSVR's serial number, found on the bottom of the headset's Processor Unit. After this, you'll need to add your shipping address in order for Sony to send you the free product, and that's it!
Sony has already started shipping these products in Japan, and plans to ship them to America, Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East in Mid-November to coincide with the PS5's release. For those in Asia, Sony will ship the adapters in Early December. According to the FAQ's the camera adapter may take up to two weeks to be delivered.

How to use the PlayStation Camera adapter with the PS5
As with most adapters, the PS5's PlayStation Camera adapter is pretty simple to use. You'll first need to connect one end of the adapter to one of the PS5's USB Type-A ports, located on the back of the console.
After this, simply connect the PSVR Camera to the AUX port on the adapter, and you'll be good to go!
