How to download Netflix games

Netflix games can enhance your own leisure time, whether you’ve got a couple of free hours to spare at home or even if you’re out and about. The platform has a couple of IP-based titles, but the vast majority of the games available to subscribers do not correlate existing or defunct Netflix shows.

How to download Netflix games

Firstly, it must be noted that the only necessary prerequisites to download Netflix games are an active Netflix subscription, the presence of the Netflix app on your mobile device, enough storage space for the download and an internet connection to perform the download.

Now, the process of downloading Netflix games differs based on the type of mobile device you own. We’ll cover Apple devices and Android phones in turn.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the Netflix app.
  2. From the Home Screen in the Netflix app, scroll down to the Mobile Games section
  3. Click on the game you wish to play, and then tap the Get Game or Play Game prompt
  4. Press Get or the cloud icon on the Apple Store banner
  5. The game will then start to download on your device. When the installation process is complete, you can press the ‘Open’ button to launch the game

Once a game is successfully installed, you can access it by navigating to the Mobile Games row in the Netflix app, or by tapping the game’s icon on your device’s home screen.

Android phones and tablets

  1. Open the Netflix app.
  2. From the Home Screen in the Netflix app, scroll down to the Mobile Games section
  3. Click on the game you wish to play, and then tap the Get Game button. This will open the Android Play Store on your device.
  4. Press Install to start the download process. Depending on the game and your device settings, a Permissions screen may appear. You’ll need to click the Accept option if prompted.
  5. The game will download and install. Once complete, you can simply press the Open button to launch the title

Once a game is installed on your Android-enabled device, you can access it by navigating to the Mobile Games row or the Games tab in the Netflix app. Alternatively, you can play it by tapping its icon on your device’s home screen or in the app drawer.
