The digital age is one of efficiency and convenience. No longer do you have to get up, or leave the house, or do anything really. You can just sit around and download games directly to your PS4 if you want to.

Gone are the days of waiting for the post, because who even has time for that?

This is the digital era, and you're going to download everything you want, not wait around like this is 2010.

You'll need to keep an eye on things though, so this is how to check your downloads on PS4.

How to check downloads on your PS4

You can check downloads on your PS4 pretty easily, but there's definitely some room for improvement here when it comes to the next-gen. Here's how you do it:

  • Select Notifications from the home menu
  • Select downloads, which is often at the top
  • Bask in the glory of your downloads list, or choose to cancel them all or pause them

It's always a good idea to pause things if you're going to be playing online, you need all the bandwidth you can get if you're trying to actually win online.

How to check downloads on your PC

Of course, if you would prefer not to deal with this on your PS4 itself, then you can always do it via the website using your PC, laptop, or mobile phone. That is, assuming your phone can access the internet and isn't a relic of a better time, like when phones had Snake.

Anyway, here's what you need to do:

  • Head on over to the PlayStation Store and sign in
  • Select your Online ID at the top of the screen
  • Select Download Queue

This will show you your queue and if you want to move something up in the order of things then you can cancel the downloads to move everything else up the list. You'll then need to redownload the content if you want it.
