Ready or Not solo

Will you be able to play Ready or Not solo? The tactical shooter from VOID Interactive does put a lot of emphasis on playing well with others, but there will be times when you won’t be able to find a group for whatever reason. Or, you might just be looking for a challenge.

Either way, the missions in Ready or Not are designed with coordinated team play in mind. Whether you’re defusing bombs or responding to stream-swatting calls, the game expects you to have some friends for backup.

So, let’s get into the details of Ready or Not solo play to see if you can hog all the glory of breaking down some random streamer’s door.

Can you play Ready or Not solo?

Yes, you will be able to play Ready or Not solo.

If all your friends are busy or you’re having trouble looking for other players online, you can still start a game of Ready or Not. To do this, simply select the single-player option before the start of a mission and your 5-man squad will be rounded out by AI bots that can be given commands.

Teaming up with bots is nowhere near as efficient as playing with other humans, but at least it will get you into the game.

Can you play Ready or Not solo without bots?

No, you won’t be able to start a game by yourself without any bots.

But there is a workaround if you want to be the lone hero who saves the day like an 80s action star. Just start a game with some bots, then command them to stay in the spawn area.

This should keep your AI-powered teammates out of your way for most if not the entire mission. However, keep in mind that choosing single-player mode for a mission still requires you to be online.

And that’s it for playing Ready or Not solo. If you aren’t used to playing FPS games on a mouse and keyboard, check out our article on controller support for Ready or Not.
