Fans everywhere were ecstatic when a new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet raid was announced during the most recent Pokémon Presents. The raid let Scarlet players capture a Paradox version of Suicune, called Walking Wake, while Violet players got to catch Iron Leaves, the Paradox version of Verizion. However, a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Bad Egg glitch has resulted in fans getting “Bad Eggs” from Tera Raids instead.

Those who were unfortunate enough to get Bad Eggs from the raids have detailed just how useless these things are. Aside from not getting the awesome Paradox Pokémon mentioned earlier, these eggs don’t hatch and just take up space. If that wasn’t bad enough, getting the eggs meant not being able to catch Walking Wake or Iron Leaves.

Obviously, any gamer worth their salt wants to avoid this mess. So here’s how to avoid the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Bad Egg glitch from Tera Raids.

Stop the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Bad Egg glitch

According to reports, most fans suffering from the Bad Egg glitch attempted to try the new Paradox Pokémon raids without updating their games. Players who did this ended up with the aforementioned “Bad Eggs” that don’t do anything aside from taking up space.

Nintendo Switch owners will be happy to know that it’s fairly easy to avoid getting the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Bad Egg glitch. All players have to do is update their versions of Scarlet and Violet to 1.2.0, which is fairly easy to do.

Just turn on your Switch, go to your copy of Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, and press the “+” button. Once the menu pops up, go to “Manage Software” then pick “Update Software.” This should lead to the update downloading automatically, which shouldn’t take too long.

What happens if I already have the Bad Egg glitch?

Unfortunately, players that did suffer through the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Bad Egg glitch are currently stuck in their predicament. As of this writing, there is no way to erase the egg or attempt to restart the raid with Walking Wake and Iron Leaves.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom. The Pokémon Company have made it clear that they’re working on a fix for those affected. Although there isn’t a solution right now, the company did urge fans to update their games so this won’t happen to anyone else.

Fans will have to wait for a proper fix to this Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Bad Egg glitch. At the least, anyone who hasn’t experienced it yet can still avoid it at all costs. With all that being said, if your games are updated, here's how to catch Walking Wake and Iron Leaves.
