What are Paradox Pokémon?
Paradox Pokémon are a group of Pokémon found in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They have two subgroups: Ancient and Future Paradox Pokémon. The majority of Pokémon in both groups have a base stat total of 570, just a few points shy of pseudo-legendary Pokémon.
Ancient Paradox Pokémon, found in Pokémon Scarlet, resembles the ancient relatives of contemporary Pokémon, whereas Future Paradox Pokémon, found in Pokémon Violet, resembles the futuristic relatives of contemporary Pokémon.
These unidentified creatures from the ancient past (Scarlet)/distant future (Violet) were brought into the present by the time machine built by Professor Sada (Scarlet)/Professor Turo (Violet).

How to get Paradox Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet
Paradox Pokémon are kept locked away in Area Zero, the Great Crater located in the centre of the Paldea region. To access Area Zero, you must have to complete the game and clear all three story paths.
Once you have completed the game, go to the Great Crater and access the teleporter inside the main Area Zero door to travel to the four Research Stations around Area Zero. You will find the Paradox Pokémon you're looking for around the four Research Stations.
Ancient Paradox Pokémon locations
- Great Tusk - Frequently found in the Research Station 4 cave.
- Brute Bonnet - Frequently found throughout all of Area Zero.
- Sandy Shocks - Rarely found near Research Station 1 on higher elevation cliffs and ledges.
- Scream Tail - Frequently found throughout all of Area Zero.
- Flutter Mane - Frequently found in the Research Station 4 cave.
- Slither Wing - Frequently found near Research Stations 1 & 2.

Roaring Moon (Scarlet) and Iron Valiant (Violet) have a base stat total of 590, making them the most powerful and sought-after Pokémon of all. Because of this fact, they are hard to catch. Your best bet is to make a sandwich that boosts the appearance of the Pokémon you are looking for.
Also, you can catch the other-version-exclusive Pokémon by co-oping with someone who has the other version of the Pokémon game. But keep in mind that for the other-version Pokémon to spawn, that person has to be nearby. In case you can't see co-op partners in Area Zero, we have some tips in the link.
