How to get Coral in Nightingale
To find Coral in Nightingale, you must find the ocean, dive underwater, and search the bottom along the shoreline. Once you have found a suitable biome, finding Coral is not difficult, as you can easily spot them from the water surface by the bluish, purple, and white tint of the spiky clusters on the bottom between the algae. As for collecting this resource, you only need to dive deeper and interact with Coral to collect it with your hand.
Only two types of corals are found in the fairy worlds: Coral and Skeletal Coral. Moreover, among all Realms, oceans with Coral are found only in three and only with definite Realm Power:
- Skeletal Coral (0 to 49 Realm Power): Desert and Swamp Biomes.
- Fleshy Coral (1 to 158 Realm Power): Forest, Desert, and Swamp Biomes.
The first place where you can visit the ocean and find the first Coral is the realm with the Forest biome. Probably, this is where you built your first home since the environment is safe enough for beginners. In this case, you only need to examine the in-game map and find the ocean, after which you can dive and collect the desired material. The good news is that the ability to swim is available from the very beginning of the game, so don't worry about it.
But if you're a little further along in the story and your character progression, focus your search on Swamp Biome. This location offers both types of Coral, and the humid environment guarantees much faster and more efficient searches for the ocean than the arid desert climate.
How to use Coral in Nightingale
The core use of Corals is making potions. Of course, this may seem pointless in the early stages of the game since you can find plenty of potions while exploring the game world. But reaching worlds with a higher Realm Power will require you to turn to potions cooking because you will need dozens of them.
Coral is the main ingredient for cooking Slight and Moderate Healing Potions, which you can craft in any Alchemical Boiler. But you will also need the following ingredients:
- Essence Dust
- Coral
- Bones
- Colourful Glass
