Lethal Company crawler - how to deal with it

Lethal Company crawler - flashlight illuminating a crawler

It is dangerous to go out alone, right? That's why in the classic indie Lethal Company you and your mates will have to work together in order to survive. But among the many dangers out there, the Lethal Company crawler is one that many players have encountered and not survived. Let's see how to counter it.

The game has been making the rounds, with many curious on its enemies and how to get the shovel, which is quite a useful tool to have always with you.

But now, let's see how to survive an encounter with the crawler or thumper in Lethal Company and come back home to tell about it.

How to deal with the Lethal Company crawler

The Crawler relies strictly on sight, so a quite efficient way to avoid it is to simply break line of sight as soon as possible. Keep moving in a zigzag line to avoid its sight and, if you see it first, try to remain hidden. You can make as much noise as you want, as the crawler won't hear you.

Now, the good news is that beside being quite fast and impossible to outrun on a long distance, they don't deal a lot of damage. For example, you could use another player that lures the crawler - as the beast will only attack one at a time - and you can sneak behind it and use your shovel to hit it.

How to kill the Crawler

The Crawler is not very tough, and it will take around four different shovel hits to deal with it. Also, once hit they will lose all speed they've gained so you can keep hitting them.

It might be useful to keep in mind, also, that the Crawler will lose all speed upon spotting a player, thus giving you a great spot to attack before it begins to chase. While it is possible to kill it alone, doing it with another player is quite easier and quicker.
