Armored Core 6 weapons

After building your very own mech, you’re going to want to arm it with some enormous guns and laser swords. In this guide, we’ll be going over some of the best Armored Core 6 weapons to equip to your AC so that you can assert your dominance on the battlefield.

Armored Core has always been big on mech customization, and that means more than just how your robot looks. The different parts you use on your AC will have an impact on your playstyle and abilities, so make sure to choose them wisely.

Now, let’s go ahead and look at the best Armored Core 6 weapons to install onto your mech to give it some extra firepower.

Best Armored Core 6 weapons

Whether love using gatling guns or prefer slicing up enemies with a massive chainsaw, the weapons in Armored Core 6 have enough variety to satisfy almost everyone. Our favorite weapons to equip are definitely the SG-027 Zimmerman and the DF-GA-08 Hu Ben, these can make short work of any enemies that you might encounter. For the most part.

Now, let’s look at the weapons at the top of the list when it comes to power and effectiveness.

SG-027 Zimmerman

The SG-027 Zimmerman is a shotgun that has been designed for mechs in Armored Core 6. In other words, they’re very big shotguns.

Shotguns are normally great firearms for dealing with enemies that get too close, but FromSoftware decided to give this one some range. That’s right, the SG-027 Zimmerman is a long-ranged shotgun of giant mech proportions.

DF-GA-08 Hu Ben

This gatling gun is an excellent choice for building up an enemy’s stagger. It has no magazine, so you players can continue firing their weapon for a longer period of time.

Instead, you’ll have to keep an eye on whether or not this gun is about to overheat. But if you can, keep squeezing that trigger. Even after your opponent has been fully staggered, the DF-GA-08 Hu Ben also deals some solid damage.

WB-0010 Double Trouble

The Double Trouble is considered by many to be one of the best melee weapons in the game. Having potent direct damage and great stagger power, you would do well to have your AC equipped with this weapon.

The only thing players might find lacking with the Double Trouble is its subpar light attack. It more than makes up for it by being a massive chainsaw, though.

VP-67EB

This is probably the most specialized weapon on this list. It can be seen as mediocre at best in most cases, but it is extremely effective at a very specific part of the game – boss fights.

The VP-67EB is capable of building stagger so quickly that you’re basically guaranteed to drain a boss’s impact meter in every encounter. So, if any particular boss is giving you trouble, whip this stun baton out and hit them over the head with it.

VE-60SNA

Arguably the best weapon in the game, the VE-60SNA has pretty much everything you can ask for in a firearm. Having high damage output, great stagger buildup, outstanding accuracy, and quick reload time, this needle launcher is the complete package.

So what might be able to outperform the VE-60SNA? Having two of them, of course. After receiving one from the end of Chapter 3, you’ll be able to purchase a second one that can be mounted on your mech’s other shoulder.

And that’s our list of the best weapons in Armored Core 6. For more on the mech-based combat game, feel free to check out our Retrieve Combat Logs guide or where to find hidden parts.
