Will FIFA 21 be delayed?

FIFA 21 is the next iteration of the long-running franchise that some would say hasn't been as good as it was back in the 90s.

Those people would be old, nostalgic, and wrong. The modern FIFA games offer an excellent experience, and fans are always keen to see what the next one will do.

That's why the idea of a delay was a little worrying for a lot of people, especially given how likely delays are at the moment.

So, will FIFA 21 get delayed, or can you still keep it marked on your calendar as a week worth taking off?

Will FIFA 21 be delayed?

It doesn't look like it. While things could change due to the chaotic nature of things at the moment, there's been no announcement to suggest that FIFA 21 could be delayed.

Hopefully, we won't have to change this piece of the article at any point, as many fans are eagerly looking forward to the game releasing on October 9th on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

Of course, there's always the question of the next-gen now, so it's worth talking about Dual Entitlement.

How will Dual Entitlement work?

According to the official EA site, "Once you have your PlayStation5 or Xbox Series X, Dual Entitlement enables you to upgrade your copy of FIFA 21 on PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, or from Xbox One to Xbox Series X, at no extra cost".

It's worth noting that this is for physical copies, digital ones will require a digital entitlement to upgrade, so if you bought the physical game, make sure your next-gen console has a disc drive.

Also, PS4 can only go to and from PS5, and the same is true of the Xbox side of things. You can't go from one company to another for obvious reasons.
