What is Warhammer: Vermintide 2?
First launched back in 2018, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a first-person action game set in the Warhammer universe. It's got plentiful bloody combat to offer!
It's the sequel to 2015's Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, but you should be able to jump in and pick up the basics if you haven't played that previous game.
Designed as a co-op game, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 pits a group of four players against an array of enemies, including the rat-like villains known as the Skaven. It should be a fun way to kill a few hours!
There is also a versus mode, which allows your team of four to compete against a rival team of four - that's multiplayer support for up to eight players, then, which is pretty cool.

Can you play Warhammer: Vermintide 2 in single-player?
Yes, this game does have a single-player mode, so you can play Warhammer: Vermintide 2 as a solo player if you're not a big fan of online co-op.
Although Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is designed to be played in groups of four, you can choose to play on your own - instead of three other human-controllers players, you'll get three AI-controlled bots joining you in battle.
Even if you do play on your own, though, you won't want to move too far away from your router - the game still requires an internet connection, even if you're just battling with bots.

Does Warhammer: Vermintide 2 have local multiplayer couch co-op?
Sadly not - there is no way to play Warhammer: Vermintide 2 in a couch co-op way.
The co-op/multiplayer element is all handled online, so you won't find any options for split-screen action here.
However, if you and your local co-op partner both have your own computers, you could boot up on separate screens and link up online.
