The next Zelda game on Switch will be a Skyward Sword remake, leaked Amazon listing suggests

Amazon sure are keen to let us all know which games are coming up.

With the PS5 and the Xbox Series X supposedly coming out later on this year, Nintendo fans might be feeling a little bit left out.

After all, there’s no sign of a Switch Pro, or even Breath of the Wild 2. Sure, Pikmin 3 is being re-released this year, but it’s just not the same as a brand-new game or console.

Well, it looks like Nintendo fans might be getting another Zelda game on the Switch, but it might not be the one you’d expect.

Apparently Switch ports are all the rage, and it would certainly explain Skyward Sword on the console.

Amazon announce Skyward Sword on Nintendo Switch

Naturally this hasn’t come about because of an announcement, oh no. This time around, we’re getting a glimpse at the potential port because Amazon decided to list it on their website.

The game was originally released in 2011 on the Wii and is widely considered one of the more divisive games in the series, in part due to the motion-based controls.

Nevertheless, it would make sense for the game to be re-released because, well, Nintendo like making money, and a lot of people do have fond memories of the game despite its flaws.

The listing has since been taken down, but this is the internet, and we all know that it was there, so does it really matter?

Should Nintendo port more Zelda games to the Switch

The whole thing got us thinking about the history of Zelda as a series.

The vast majority of the games have been extraordinary, and the combination of handheld and console gameplay of the Switch makes it the perfect console to see more games there.

It’d make a lot of sense if Nintendo started doing more ports of classic games, although we’d obviously love to see N64 games added to the online services instead. Please.
