After a slow start and the console being hit with a stock shortage, PlayStation 5 is gaining market share and it has been gracing many gamers' TV shelves. But what about PS5 games coming out in 2023?

Here is what we are most excited about, all PS5 games that have been confirmed - so far - to be coming out in 2023.
Final Fantasy XVI
One of the most awaited Playstation 5 exclusives for the year, surely going to be the one RPG you won't want to miss out on in 2023. At the helm of the project, there are Naoki Yoshida, Final Fantasy 14 producer, and Hiroshi Takai. The game is set to bring back the series to its strict fantasy roots, with an encompassing story of a world torn by conflict, ancient creatures that are being summoned and crystals.
As opposed to previous games in the series, Final Fantasy 16 is going to mainly focus on a single protagonist, that the player will control in the world. Clearly, they will not be alone in the fight as they will be joined, progressing through the story, by AI companions.
Final Fantasy XVI is due for release on PS5 on June 6th 2023.
Diablo 4
Do we really need to say more or has the title alone already got you excited? Yes, the fourth chapter of Blizzard's long-running hack'n'slash demonic RPG series is set to drop pretty soon and gamers everywhere are definitely looking forward to it. We will have to plunge into the depths of hell again and battle skeletons, demons and all kinds of Luciferian critters.
At launch, Blizzard confirmed there will be five classes available: Necromancer, Barbarian, Sorceress, Rogue and Druid. Clearly, multiplayer will also be a strong component and we can expect exciting online battles, so perhaps our friends can help us battle the demonic fiends. Blizzard also confirmed there will be microtransactions but they will be integrated into the world of Diablo, similar to Diablo Immortal.
Diablo 4 is due for release on PS5 on June 2023.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Another quite interesting exclusive for the Sony PlayStation 5, is the sequel that will continue the journey of Peter Parker and Miles Morales. This time there will be another quite beloved villain included in the package. Yes, we are talking about Venom, who will be the main antagonist in this new adventure which is going to reprise the classic mechanics of the previous web-slinging game.
Sony and Insomniac games have confirmed that there will be several new updates to the spidey hero's arsenal. Among these, he will get access to brand-new suits and also some quite incredible abilities. We are sure that fans of the series will find lots to love here.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is set to release on PS5 in the Fall of 2023.
Alan Wake 2
Rumoured to be in development for years, finally, Remedy has confirmed it. We will be back in the shoes of the troubled writer Alan Wake, continuing the story that was left hanging in 2010. Not much has been revealed about the plot yet, but we can be sure that it will be another engrossing tale of mystery and weird events.
The original Alan Wake saw us following the story of a burned-out writer who was experiencing hallucinations that became ever more real, along with many references to classic TV series like Twin Peaks. Will the sequel follow in the same footsteps of classic 90s shows or find a new way to tell its story?
We will know more, but as of now Alan Wake 2 is set to be released sometime in 2023.
Like a Dragon: Ishin!
The new chapter in the series formerly known as Yakuza is, well, a remake of an old title which was only released in Japan in 2014. This time, we are going back all the way to 1860, in medieval Japan. We will follow the story of how the samurai vanished for good from the country and how Sakamoto Ryoma, a true historical figure, revolutionized Japan and its feudal system.
Fans of the series had been clamouring for this game to be brought back to Western shores for a while now, and Ryu Ga Gotoku is giving it the deluxe treatment with all-new graphical updates for new generation consoles.
Like a Dragon: Ishin is set to release on February 17th 2023.
Forspoken
Square Enix has announced they will be distributing the new action-adventure game by Luminous production. The game will see us play as young girl Frey, who has been mysteriously transported from New York to the magical land of Athia. She will soon learn what is plaguing the country and will agree to help the last survivors to fight the evil.
Forspoken will feature a huge open world to explore, along with parkour abilities to fight enemies and navigate the environment, plus magical abilities which can be customized to better fit most playstyles.
The game is set to release very soon, you will find it on your PS5 console on 24th January 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy is arguably one of the best PS5 games coming out in 2023.
Set in the magical world of the Harry Potter books, the game will give all fans of the series (and, well, even non-fans) a chance to explore a huge open-world RPG. The player will have to join one of the Houses, thus learning how to survive in the world, craft spells, improve their abilities and fight monsters and critters which will come their way.
Our main character will become part of a terrible secret which is threatening to tear apart the world of the wizards. Will we be part of the revolution or we will fight to keep the Houses together? There are definitely lots of interesting twists and turns to discover.
Hogwarts Legacy is set to drop on February 10th 2023.

Like the survival game Sons of the Forest, which has yet to be confirmed for a release on PS5 but one we are definitely looking forward to. It is going to be an exciting year for PS5 owners, that is for sure!
