We’re getting a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Cinderace raid soon, so many players are wondering which Pokémon they should prepare. It’s always exciting to see a fan-favourite critter in a raid, and Cinderace was everyone’s favourite when Sword and Shield came out.

Similar to the Charizard Raid that happened earlier this month, Cinderace won’t be in Paldea for long and this will be a rare chance to get it. There’s always a chance that both Cinderace and Charizard return for a future event, but fans should still get them while they can.

If this 7-star raid is anything like the Charizard event, expect this fight to be difficult and maybe even time-consuming. For now, here’s how players should prepare for the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Cinderace raid event. Expect this Pokémon to be Level 100, so prepare accordingly and get those EXP candies.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Cinderace Raid Best Pokémon

During the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Cinderace raid, it was revealed that the football-playing rabbit will be a Fighting-type in its Terastal Form during the raid. However, it can still use its Fire-type attacks and maybe even some deadly Normal-type moves, so be prepared.

For now, here are the Pokémon that should be effective against Cinderace during this 7-star raid. Don’t forget to make it Level 100 and feed it all of those stat-building goodies to make it stronger.

Azumarill

Recommended Moves: Play Rough, Bounce, Charm, Helping Hand

The favourite against Charizard returns. Since Cinderace is going to be a Fighting-type for this Tera Raid, Azumarill’s Pixie-type attacks will be perfect against it. Also helping is that Azumarill is a Water-type since Cinderace can still use Fire-type attacks, so prepare accordingly.

Use attacks like Play Rough, which should do a ton of damage. Bounce, a Flying-type attack, might also be useful since it takes Azumarill away from the field for one turn, saving it from taking damage.

Dachsbun

Recommended Moves: Play Rough, Charm, Helping Hand, Yawn

Like Azumarill, Dachsbun was a favourite against Charizard. Dachsbun’s Fairy-type attacks should do plenty of damage against Cinderace, so make sure to give it the best attacks. Play Rough is a must since it’s one of the stronger Fairy-type attacks in the game.

In addition to its Fairy-type attacks, Dachsbun also has a great ability that makes it essential for this Tera Raid. Well-Baked Body will increase Dachsbun’s defence when hit with Fire-type attacks, making it perfect for the upcoming Cinderace Raid.

Sylveon

Recommended Moves: Play Rough, Moonblast, Fake Tears, Calm Mind

Yup, another strong Fairy-type that can resist some of Cinderace’s Fighting-type moves. Make sure you have some of the Eevee evolution’s best Fairy moves so that players can do a ton of damage.

Like the Charizard Raid before it, use Fake Tears to lower Cinderace’s Special Defense, making it even weaker to Fairy-type attacks. Calm Mind can also increase Sylveon’s Special Attack stat, which should make it do a ton of damage to Cinderace’s Fighting-type Tera Form.

Cinderace Tera Raid event date

Even rarer than the Charizard event, the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Cinderace Raid will take place over two two-day events.

The Cinderace Tera Raid event dates are December 30 through January 1st, and January 13 through January 15.

It’s not yet known if Cinderace will appear in future Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids but knowing Game Freak, there’s a slight chance it could return in a future event. Still, players that really want the Sword and Shield Pokémon should get on it when the event starts.
